Now that I’m gone from Land Rover I’ve lost my log in and no longer have access to Topix and none of JLR’s diagnostic systems run without being logged into Topix.
So now that I’ve lost all that I had to scramble to come up with a new system. I need to be able to interface with new Rovers so I need Doip and CAN protocols. This week was spent scrambling for a solution. I think I found something good.
I have a guy coming to my shop this week to demo this.

I registered to use the Topix website as an independent user. You can rent the place like a cheap hotel. By the hour, by the vin, by the day, just the service info, programming is broken down the same way. Or you can have it all for some stupid 6500 for all year.
So what I decided to do is just buy what I need. So if I need to look at service info I’ll pay that and add it to the invoice with a 20% mark up.
This car company misses no opportunity to club whoever they can. But the problem I have is they want to charge me to use the shitty diagnostic equipment I’ve been restarting 5 times a day cause it’s locked up. I’m not fucking paying money to use that crap.
