Doing a little fishing, Koby?

Just because and even though I have 3 large rolls already from an aviation supplier, Dean, how's about you send me two of the small ones, light brown please. Looks like really nice work.

Don't get angry at me, I was only trying to save fellow Discowebbers some money.

That sucked Koby, you grenaded Deans sale while hiding behind being helpful to fellow Dwebbers. Since when did you give a shit for your fellow Dwebbers? In the past when people have hijacked a sales thread there has been hell to pay, it just isn't the right thing to do. It's not like Dean is ripping people off, he makes a unique product and he makes it well. You post alternatives that aren't even the same as his and then ask him NOT to be mad at you?? Thats BS Koby. It's mean-spirited and says alot about your integrity.

I have to agree, that was a pretty dickhead move Koby. It would be greatly differant if it was in a tech/non-tech discussion of someone looking for options on tool rolls, or maybe even if he was reselling someone elses product, but to tank someones classified listing of a product they are making on thier own, regardless if you like them or not, was pretty bad forum.

Here's an alternative:.......
Hmmm, here's an even better alternative...show some respect man. In the military you'd be what's called a buddy-fucker. Dean's got a good product there and I imagine he's hardly making a penny off of them. Sure, I've been a customer of EE in the past but honestly I think they make allot of sales purely on their use of "colorful" descriptions. "..and protect them against impact damage and clanging" They're fucking tools man! Do they sell tool disinfectant wipes too? I mean come on... Don't be penny wise and dollar foolish. Buy it cheap 10 times or buy it once.

Dean, I'll take two small ones in brown. Everyone seems genuinely impressed with them and I know they're not being made in a 3rd world country by 8 year olds.

Just shot an email over to customer service at Bucket Boss to get to the bottom of a couple of issues:

Hi folks - a couple of questions:
Where are your tool rolls made?
What colors do they come in?
Can a customer like me request one-off
modifications and special features on an existing
tool roll?
Does anyone in your company paricipate in off-
roading?

Dean - How would you answer these questions? it would be good to know before I purchase something like this, as these issues are important to me as a consumer.

You all know I am not a big poster on Dweb, lol, just looking at my post count tells you that, BUT, really need to add my 2 cents.

What the hell is wrong with people that they feel the need to directly undercut someone's legitimate attempt to make a few extra bucks with a good product. Particularly in this instance, a fellow Disco owner and maybe someone who could, in the past, present or future, wheel with you or pulled you or one of yours out of the mud and out of a bad situation. Are they looking for an "attaboy" or maybe another sticker from their supplier of choice? There is absolutely no reason for it and it is disgusting to read the post.

There is always something cheaper and most of the time, it's not going to be as good quality. Yeah sure, there are el cheapo nylon wraps out there but the nylon's gonna chew up the thread over time, you'll lose the stitching, it's stiff and not flexible at all and I also do not want to buy something that was made by 8 year olds probably getting paid 10 cents a day for their 16 hours of hard labor.

Dean worked hard to put together a nice product and is passing it along at a fair price. He is a rover owner and knows what we all experience while trying to work on our vehicles and with that knowledge and set of ideas worked at making something nice. I can't believe someone would try to undermine him like that.

I think its rather cool that someone is making a few bucks off of something they made to help other folks. They can react fast to design changes/ feedback/needs.

I'm get tired of buying everything that was made somewhere else, that almost fits my needs. I of course DO buy things by price ( and regardless of where it was made), but when it comes down to a choice of supporting the local business or some far off company, my money is USUALLY with the locals.

I mean if I can get something for $10 off the net and $50 locally (and it's the exact same thing), I have to think about it. But for a few extra bucks, and some personal attention, count me in.

Remember, there is ALWAYS some other place that you can order it cheaper. Your company and/or clients can find cheaper workers/work. I feel that I'm worth the extra bucks and so I have no problem passing that extra around.

What comes around, goes around.

Yeah Dean it goes back to the advertising principle that bad advertising is good advertising because it keeps you in front of the customers. Shit I think you and Koby are in on this thing. Koby is mysteriously quiet on this one, I know you are reading all this Koby as you are a habitual daytime poster.
