You keep writing tool rollS, implying you will need more than one in order to post a pic.

700 Club

I will answer the question for you CP. The 700 Club was an elite group of frat rats (Fijis and Delts) that I used to run with many years ago. They lived on the corner of the street (700 was the house number) directly behind the Fiji House. I was actually using the name as a bit of a misnomer and I compared it haphazardly to the HLRC. HLRC is certainly not an elitist group and I do not represent them however..I though it would be a funny comparison nonetheless!! I hope that explains my meaning of the 700 Club!

Back to the Tool Roll(s)!!

Dean, As far as tool rolls go, I think you're definitely on to something. Just a thought, but future product you may want to consider is, what about amking something like your hood roll that could double over (one side can be a wrench side for holding a set of wrenches (maybe an SAE AND a Metric set) and the other side holds the pliers etc) then when it is rolled up, already has two sturdy handles that are send into the roll to carry. Kinda like a small duffle bag size in a way.
That way, you coudl eliminate multiple rolls (one for each wrench set, one for the other tools) and could have all tools there.
I dunno, just a thought. Realistically it would be your hood roll x2 built into one. Shit, I'd buy it just to get rid of my giant tool bag and keep my tools from clanking around. Let me know if you're interested in doing this as I'd be interested in buying one. Maybe a price you'd consider too :)

If you're saying what I think you're saying, you're saying to have a two sided tool roll. Right or wrong?

Yes. Not front slot and back sloted rolls, but a fold over. You put tools inside, fold over, and then roll up. Something similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Bucket-Boss-Brand-07004-Duckwear/dp/B00004T82P
I just don't know how stiff it would be when you tried to roll it up, now that I'm thinking of the design. Think it would be to thick?

Not trying to step on toes..

If Dean is no longer around, my wife can make these, and I don't think the prices will be as high.

Let me know if Dean doesn't get back with you!

Brian,
Doing such with wrenches and pliers might be..odd when it comes to rolling it up... With the width of your standard set of pliers / vise grips / channel~locks being that much larger than that of wrenches, they might be best suited on their own. Now...wrenches + screwdrivers, that would work well...
