Don't know about the laser's, but from what I'm reading on their site it looks like you could probably use any good scope with a big objective end to capture all available light. They don't seem to be using any really new tech to enhance the illumination between the objective lens and the eye...just good optics that you can get elsewhere.

A 50mm objective will let you see into some pretty deep shadows at extended ranges...I'd like to see the laser in action.

I've got a 40mm Swarvoski scope on my rifle, and it gathers a lot of light. In low-light it works very well, but obviously once the sun sets, even with a full moon, you can't see in any detail what you're looking at. A fox could be a dog and a bear could be a deer and you'd never know. I'm not Mr. Night Time Varmint Hunter, but if this light works it could be fun to play with.

Here's the thing about that type of device... sure, it'll illuminate whatever you're pointing your weapon at, viewable through your scope, but it'll also be painting a gigantic green laser beam across wherever it is you're hunting. Dunno about you, but if I were a critter and saw something like that, I'd boogie on outta there ASAP. Might be useful for taking a quick shot, but not for scanning for a target... and if you've already got night-vision for that, then really, what's the point?

Well if it's in a spectrum invisible to animals with monochromatic vision, I could definitely see it being very useful indeed...

Dan,

I have an ND3 from them, works okay, has a nice pattern , we shoot it at the farm and has taken many critters away. I think it is worth every bit of the $ 300.00ish I've paid ( when they came out ) now available everywhere for like 240.00ish

Save the expense of a NV dedicated scope.

I've bought the PS-22 that mounts in front of the Trijicon, nice... very nice but overkill for plinking, wonderful for what it is intended ;-)
