I currently running fox 2.0 smooth bodies 11 inch and 12. They are stiff af( as fu$&). Need to get them re-balanced but I like how it drives my 4.5 lift on the highways and I’m too lazy to remove them. I had terrafirmas with my old 2 inch lift. The fronts blew out because I bottomed out too many times on trails but..... they rode really good. If my setup was stock again I would stick with the terra firmas for the money. I also believe at low lifts the performance gain from better more expensive shocks isn’t worth it
Thank you everyone for the feedback... I really appreciate it!
So in the end I connected with Simon from RTE and ended up going with his 2" full lift kit including Bilstein 7100 custom valved shocks. The kit includes a bunch of other upgrades that just made sense to me given the age of the Disco... as things come in and I get them installed I'll keep this thread updated.
The ones I saw that were on sale were for standard/stock ride hight. Whatever you do get, make sure they are revavleable and rebuildable. And stay away from OME sports unless you are hauling >600# on a regular basis, they are stiffer than a honeymoon dick.
