Wandering aimlessly
I mayneed a lawyer in boston soon. My former roomate left but still owes 2210 in rent which the former lanlords are now threatening me and my other roomate for the rent. they have records of checks paid and know we paid in full but say that we are both 100% responsible. is it possible to make my former roomate and his cosigner pay the landlord, or do we have to pay and then sue my former roomate? Also the landlord isnt giving us the address for the cosigner whe we woudl liek to contact to see if he is even aware of the situation.
thanks for any help

If your lease stipulates "joint and several liability" you are screwed.

I think i'm screwed against the landlord. although i do have an email from my former roomates saying is his debt. So i was thinking of filing against his co-signer, but the landlord refuses to give me his address.

You are screwed. I would use paying to get the co-signor's address. IE I will pay when you turn over the co-signor's information.
