Sounds like you got a great deal! congrats. I own 2 HDTVs by samsung, and one by Pioneer. THe pioneer blows away the samsungs, but they hold their own against sony, pana and toshiba...I find the samsungs to be too bright and turn down the brightness, increase the sharpness and reduce contrast, but still not as smooth or easy on my eyes as athe pioneer in the dark. In a lit up room, its hard to tell the differences..I found some color and adjustment tips in one of the HDTV forums, search your model number and see what folks recommend, the advice I got did improve my viewin experience fwiw

I like samsungs. They interface very well to Crestron systems. Sounds like you got a good deal.

I recently bought 2 westinghouse lcd tv's..... 1080P, $899 & $499. Very impressed. I run my media center a computer with them. I was looking for a samsung, but ended up with these since the price and specs were right on. Did you buy all the hdmi, etc.. wires yet? if not i can refer you to a site where you can get them at half the price.

After this guy told Monster what to do with their lawsuit, he has my business.

AWESOME! That was a GREAT read.

I went to Overstock.com for HDMI cables, and got a set of six 6' cables for $32.

I have a 52" Samsung Plasma, and I think the color is a little too intense. Burn-in/Phantom images are a major problem, too. I also can't seem to find a setting on the tv that lets it automatically size the picture. I had a Westinghouse 32" LCD, and I LOVED it. I gave it to a friend when I got the bigger TV. The color was always perfect on that tv, and the picture was incredibly crisp. I have a 32" Olevia LCD in my bedroom, and the thing just crapped out (green module went bad) after a year and a half. It had all the right specs, but it just didn't hold up. I'm trying to get it replaced through VISA.
