Leaking washer fluid

On my 98 D1 the headlight washer sprayer on the driver side is leaking fluid out (slow and continuous) as soon as I fill the reservoir. It will empty the entire reservoir just sitting overnight. Does anyone know if there is a check valve of some kind in the line or is it the pump itself that would be bad.

My '98 did the same thing. There's a check valve behind the washer bottle that had failed. I replaced it with one from the pet store for under $2
