I have two bad leaky pinion seals, I'm getting ready to order parts and I was wondering if I just need the oil seal or if there is anything else that needs to be replaced as a matter of course. Thanks in advance.
Depends on what style diff you have but assuming it's the early style I'd get a couple new cotter pins and I think they use the felt seal around the splines. I'd get the pinion flange off and get a good look at the sealing surface. If it's grooved you'll need either a new flange or a speedy-sleeve. If you end up removing the seal housing then you'll need a new gasket or RTV to seal it back up.

Yours should have the later style carrier, but could have been swapped with an early one that has the removable seal housing, in which case you'd want the gasket for it.
A felt washer, and new cotter pin should be all you need. You might need a speedy-sleeve for the pinion if it keeps leaking with a new seal, which is pretty likely, depending on mileage.
