Leaky windshield

I have a 03 Disco 2 with a roof rack, and today after it rained I noticed that I had a wet area in the headliner at the top of the windshield pillar. I was out and about before I could get home and take a picture of it, it dried up. This leads me to believe that it has happened before. Here is the dilemma. The closest dealership is 100 miles away in a different state, and it is not the dealership where I bought the truck. From past experiences with other vehicles with leaking windshield I know that this will destroy a head liner. My question is how long should it take to replace the headliner, and do you think I will receive much flack from asking them to do this? Obviously I am going to have the windshield resealed, but I do not know if they will give me any shit about replacing the headliner. Would the roof rack (which has never had a load over 50lbs on it) cause that much strain, and if so then it has to go. If the dealership gives me any crap should I go directly to LRNA? The rack was on the vehicle when I bought it used. A selling point due to the amount of miles on the truck; I figured I could save on accessories to justify buying a year old truck with 25k on the odometer. I digress, so help!!! :( :(

PS. Do the 02 and prevoius models have to take off the grill to change headlights. I had a parking light go out, and I found this set up odd, but I guess it works.

Mike,
The dealer will reseal your windshield but not replace the headliner unless it is stained beyound cleaning or sagging from past water damage. This is pretty typical for all manufactures.
No you don't have to take off the grille to replace the headlamp.
Good luck,
Mike

If it's a LR rack, they can't give you flak about it. Even if it's not, they shouldn't. The leaking A-pillars are a known problem, and there's a TIB about it. They should stock the repair parts (sealant & plastic rivets), and if the headliner is stained, they have to replace it free. It'll have to be ordered, so call ahead and tell them to get one.
