I have a 03 Disco 2 with a roof rack, and today after it rained I noticed that I had a wet area in the headliner at the top of the windshield pillar. I was out and about before I could get home and take a picture of it, it dried up. This leads me to believe that it has happened before. Here is the dilemma. The closest dealership is 100 miles away in a different state, and it is not the dealership where I bought the truck. From past experiences with other vehicles with leaking windshield I know that this will destroy a head liner. My question is how long should it take to replace the headliner, and do you think I will receive much flack from asking them to do this? Obviously I am going to have the windshield resealed, but I do not know if they will give me any shit about replacing the headliner. Would the roof rack (which has never had a load over 50lbs on it) cause that much strain, and if so then it has to go. If the dealership gives me any crap should I go directly to LRNA? The rack was on the vehicle when I bought it used. A selling point due to the amount of miles on the truck; I figured I could save on accessories to justify buying a year old truck with 25k on the odometer. I digress, so help!!!
PS. Do the 02 and prevoius models have to take off the grill to change headlights. I had a parking light go out, and I found this set up odd, but I guess it works.
