Light Switch Woes...

Well I installed my Hella Double Work lamp, made a wiring harness and connected it to the auxillary light switch I bought from EE. The problem is that I did not know how to wire the switch to keep the lights illuminated when depressed. The get around this I borrowed the rear wiper switch from the right side of my binnacle and switched the faces for the time being. Problem lies with the fact that the wiper switch doesn't fit the left side well and the face plate is restricted to the "up side down" position. Does anyone know how to wire the auxillary switch to work when depressed just as the front and rear fog lights do? Sorry if my explanation is unclear. I will clarify if anyone needs it to be!

Thanks,
Davis

The auxiliary light switch sold by EE is momentary, designed to work with the factory latching relay setup employed by LR. You need a SPST push-on/push-off switch like the rear wiper or cruise control switches. I would remove the button cover and fit it to a cruise control switch. Trim off the keying on the cruise control switch and wire it up so that the switch illuminates when the running and head lights are on, and when enabled.
