Limited Milage Insurance

We recently purchased a new truck and consequently, the Rover has become a trailer queen with no need to carry the high limits of our normal insurance coverage.

I would like to carry the bare minimum on the Rover because I do drive on the street and our great state of FL requires it. Therefore, does anyone have any recommendations for good minimum milage policies/companies...say less than 1200 miles per year??

I know on a car I am looking at, the insurance is not that bad.

What kind of Rover? If your talking a Series Rover, then you can register and insure as an antique. Cost you about $50 to $100 per year. I believe that is what my Dad is paying on his 1960 TR3. He's limited to like 1500 miles.

i know there is a way to do it on a new vehicle. One of my neighbor has several expensive sports cars that he only drives on weekends, and he has limitied milage insurance.

The key is, ask your agent for a "Recreational Use Only" policy. I have it on one of my lesser used Rovers.
