Location of Temp. Sending Unit for D1

Real quick question...where is the location of the temperature sending unit on D1s?

For the Gauge or the computer?

From the Haynes Service and Repair manual....Coolant temperature guage sender is screwed into the thermostat housing on diesel models, while petrol models have the sender screwed into the inlet manifold, behind the distributor .
Also the Air Conditioning system fan switch is screwed into the thermostat housing...which controls the fans for the air conditioning system.

It is a 97 D1 with no distributor -- electronic ignition (coils). so where would I find the sending unit?

H2O Temp should be on the thermostat housing, the switch that is.

97 has 2. They are both in the intake.
The one for the computer has 2 wires and a plug like the injectors, but it is grey. Front/Passinger side.

next to is it s single wire sensor, thats for the instrument.
