We had an unexpected guest the other day...

The new LR2.

Unfortunately the only 2005 FL we had was an SE3, so it is not a good comparison.

I'm not digging the grill. To me, it screams Ford Super Duty.

Let me point out that this was on it's way through to Death Valley, not here for good. (until next April)

The similarities between the FL and the LR2 are many!! I think that thing is UBER-ugly. Come on Land Rover!! Stop producing these "soft-roaders" and give us a real "off-road" vehicle!

Don't really like the grill either. Cover it up with a brush guard.

Does it still have the all-important hairdressers scissors holder on the dash?

Ok, I might be nuts, but I WANT IT.

I think it's cute...for me...for a daily driver....

I'd like to see how much bigger it is than the old one. And also to see a pic of one next to the RRS.

That's it...that's what has been bothering me about it...the rear is different. No tire....no cute rear window that rolls down.

Where is the spare tire? Underneath?

Spare is under the floor in the back. It is much roomier than before, lots more headroom, and lots more room in the back.

No idea on pricing yet... The new engine feels excellent, plenty of power. It handled our test track perfectly.

Sus,

I think this car would be a great daily driver. Get a little snow and ice, no problem. Heavy rain....again no problem. Be a good kid hauler for you and Ivan :) :) :)

I don't so much mind the looks, but that front end needs to go. Maybe Pimp My Ride could come up with something.

Wouldn't it be cool if it has a Six cylinder turbo option and an all-wheel-drive t- case. Be a coo little sleeper.

As far as off-road. It sucks monkey balls.
