I'm not sure I want to go shorter then 7'.
I need something preferably mid flex that doesn't need a lot of loading.
I won't be casting much over thirty feet but the ability to lay out an occasional 45 foot or so cast would be nice. I also want the ability to smoothly turn over 9 to 12 foot leaders.
I'm thinking about giving these guys a call,

Anyone deal with them?
And no, I won't be spending $700 on a rod, Obama didn't send me my stimulus money.

Actually I just talk to Bob at Colton Fly Company. I have 2 of thier rods already.
Ended up getting a 6' 3 weight made with UD82 and another 5 weight. He was having a sale and actually remembered me from my last order last year.
Bob is a great guy and makes a great product.

I will probably over line the 5 weight I have and use it for small mouth.
