I recently purchased a 95 classic and someone had pulled the airbags in favor of springs

I would like to go back to air and was curious on thoughts of finding a good used set or go with new ones like the arnotts

Any input would be appreciated

Thanks Dan

I've got everything else for EAS from my 95 Classic if you are interested. Valve block, pump, etc. You might find yours is missing or non-functional. Let me know.

I am pretty sure everything is there except the springs. Looks like someone just cut the lines at the air bags and pulled the fuses.

Hopefully I will be able to get used or new airbags.

Any one know if there is a way to test components before spending money on new stuff. Ie height sensors,
Pump, valve block etc

Thanks Dan

down load the unlock suite software from rsw solutions.com, fabricate the comms cable and run the testing this way ( trust me if you get the air working you will be glad you got the software to test/reset it). another option is to find someone with autologic or silmilar diag system to run test and clear codes for you. to test the sensors I disconected one by one and ran it from bottom to top, I found one was sticcking so I replaced it at the same time I installed new bags.
also you could install the fuses and relays missing, start the engine (eas ecu needs tach input) if you dont have any codes the compressor should run and the solenoids should begin to open and shut thus sending air to the air springs attempting to level (since the car does not know it has coils it keeps trying to level until it sets a code).
I restored the eas on my old 95 classic some 2 yrs ago... cannot say how pleased I am of the rsw software.
I keep a laptop in my truck when ever I travel... a manual air self recovery system comes in handy too.

good luck.

If Skippy can't get you what you need, contact Dennis at Rover Renovations. He's got replacement air springs, pumps and valve blocks.

On a side note, I talked to a guy at airbagit.com (aim industries, local company) about aftermarket kit for a Rover. He looked over the bottom of my truck and said he could fit some of their standard full-size truck air springs on the factory Rover coil spring perches. Of course he wanted to sell me parts, and who knows if he's right, but I think it'd be cool to do a conversion from coil to air.

Well I got the cable made and the program downloaded. Just waiting on a new power cable for my laptop to do a little testing on the components that are there.

If any one has a set of air springs they took off a 93-95 classic in favor of coils i would be interested in taking them off your hands

Hopefully everything else test out all right

Thanks for the help Daniel

Check out rangerovers.net - lots of info there and a guy who sells replacement air suspension components is all over the site...

you better take skippy up on his offer. those air springs were replaced w/steel springs cause the system was malfunctioning. more than likely the springs themselves were not the problem. Get the harness/ecu/and hight sensors.

Has anyone had any trouble with the rsw software running on a laptop. Runs fine on my pc but says the program won't initialize when I try to run it on my laptop

I have a set I took off of mine. The a little old, but they worked find. My system malfunctioned. Something in the ECU, I had a RTE 2" lift to correct it so I kept the airbags.

PM me or email me and we can work out the details, if you still want them.
