I'm looking for some good trails to hit in central Florida. Preferably nothing more than moderate difficulty since my Disco is still running on a stock suspension. Just looking to get out and do some exploring.

.for alot of mud and water you can run to Scottsmoor of I95 tween edgewater and Smyrna
.Sea world South end of I drive between 417 and I drive, its alright some sand lil trails, action on weekends
Ocala Forest, can get there in 45 mins, Far east corner near Deland, take I 4 to 44 go west over St Johns first light after river turn right onto 42 go half mile look for Crows Bluff on right , turn right travel 200 yards down dirt road to Power lines. turn left under power lines, ther ya go , start ride here. from easy to moderate depending on how far ya wanna go. if you go all the way to the big puddle blocking the trail back up and look for a trail on right to go around puddle, puddle is truck deep, :D

Hi David :)

Send me an email next time you're going to head out to the trails. We'd just love to get out there again with you.

It sure would be nice to take a short break for a day of R&R adventuring!

BTW, I've been wondering how things went for rally and the anti-rally... hope everyone had a good time at both events.

See you soon, Jamie, Blue, and Angel

The Lou!
Tampa area

If ya ever make it over to the Tampa bay area, we have a little spot we've been going to in Plant City. Mostly sand and some small little mud holes to play in. Just found a few great little technical area out there too. We have quite a few stock trucks that come out with us and make it through here just fine. You can easily spend 3-4 hours out here and still find more areas to play if you want to. We've done a lot of clean up out here as well. Most of it is wide open but there are a few tight spots in the brush so you'll need to wax up first. We trim up the brush each time we go there and the growth has slowed for "winter".

Shout if you get out our way!

p.s. Ocala is fun too, but very very large. David was a great guide for this area otherwise we'd still be out there trying to find a way home. LOL

and it looked like the FLRC had an awesome turn out by the stats on the home page, thats alot of work. They did well.
Have you heard if there was going to be a Palomino Round up in 2006? Havent heard from Rico on it.

I know I drive. Been stuck there a couple years ago. Went to Ocala this weekend and found some trails, but it is too large and need a guide. Up for a ride anytime. Thanks for the pointers on Ocala, I will have to check them out sometime.

Haven't heard anything yet... seems like we usually get the Round Up details after the first of the year??

Looks like we might have enough interest on this thread for a trail ride soon? DiscoJen, please email me also whenever you all are going to head out again. The conditions you described sound ideal for Angel's first trail rides. I'd like to get her totally comfortable with easy and moderate trails before we progress into the yucky gunky stuff where mud starts flying, trucks go swimming, and winching / recovery is a given.

Best Regards :), Jamie

Yes :) to all above - just need to go easy on the water - well actually not realy but I'm tired of the mud inside instead of outside :) But since the ECU is riding on the passengers lap atm.... no worries there!

anyone want to weld me some new floorboards - can pay in beer! ;)

LOL yes! wait til you see how we have her all rigged up to run now - it's becoming pretty interesting - but when she's running she's a beast! I pulled out a F-250 from a 40-50 deep rivine (sp?) the other weekend - no prob at all!

Looking forward to seeing you again!
