Looking turn up the exhaust sound on my D1 V8

I'm looking to get a more aggressive sound out of my D1. Upon inspection of my undercarriage last week I notice my exhaust is slightly pinched in the turn going to the rear muffler. Since I'm worried this may be causing power loss, I've decided to do something about it, but if I'm going to work on the exhaust I'd like to make it sound better in the process.

I've found old posts on Google and old videos on YouTube with poor sound quality. So, I was wondering if anyone had any up to date suggestions on exhaust mods?
I'm looking to spend the least amount possible. Any video links anyone can provide would be fantastic.

Thanks

The cheapest thing would be to cut the rear muffler off and have an exhaust shop weld in a new piece of pipe back there. It will be slightly louder, but not a huge difference.

I love my magnaflow setup.. Yea, its expensive but I got it dirt cheap used. My buddy's D1 is straight piped with cats and its sounds awesome.. not as loud as you think. It gurgles something mean with the 5 speed.

Headers, Magnaflow hi-flow cats and muffler, no rear resonator.

My daily driver D1 has stock everything except I cut the main muffler out and replaced with a length of straight pipe, rear resonator is still in place. Its louder but not too loud, has a drone on the highway but nothing that can't be drowned out easily by bumping the radio volume a bit.

I straight piped back from the factory cats. I love the sound. I have some videos, but I'd have to text them to you. They aren't on YouTube or anything.

Hmm. Might need something louder. I'll have to experiment with that this weekend.

I think we're on the same page. I'd like to keep the cats just so the Disco still functions normally.

I don't hate the drone that much. I like to hear the engine. Plus, I still have the stock tape deck. There isn't much bump in my Disco. Haha!

Can you email me one at Thomasgibson48@yahoo.com? Texting videos kills the quality of the vid.

I picked up a Borla 40664 for my D2 here on dweb. I had already cut off the rear resonator - slightly better sound without the resonator and now with the Borla it sounds pretty good. A bit of a drone under throttle at about 45-55 but then it smooths out.
