loose steering then no power steering then loose..wtf

2000 disco, has had loose steering, (like the way low profile tires will turn on bumps). Then today, lost power steering, then a mile later it came back with correct steering, not loose. Then went loose then lost power steering again, then came back to loose power steering.

Power steering fluid is correct.

Seriously...what is going on????

I had that. It turned out to be a pinched or clapsed powersteering hose.

look for hose about 3/4 inch round covered in gunk closest to wear you add power steering fluid. he thinks one may be kinked.
