I liked it. It was left open enough that I can fill in the blanks in whatever manner I see fit. That's the way it should have been, and that's the way it was.

Cheers,

I stopped watching after the second season because it got so convoluted I was pretty sure it would end with no/few answers. Sounds like that's what happened.

There were quite a few things that went unanswered, but I was still satisfied with the ending. I will probably have to rewatch several episodes. My only complaint was that there was 2 hours of commercials and 30 minutes of actual show.

I have been wondering all season how they would end it. I was afraid it would be a "Sopranos" type ending, and I would feel as if I had wasted six years caring about the show.

I really liked it. I'm with Kennith And Sven. Answered a lot, but a lot of gaps to use your imagination. Atleast I don't feel pissed off about it like I did after the Sopranos ending.

Alert. Partial spoiler below

The point where I figured it out was when Desmond was helping unload the coffin and "Christian Shepherd" was written on the cardboard box. I guess I am partially retarded because I never made the connection of "Christian Shepherd" until that moment.

Still so many gaps though

It was good, I'm happy with some of the gaps and disappointed with some. Such is the life of a lost fan.

I never watched Lost at all. Is it worthy of renting the series and starting from episode 1 all the way through?

Maybe. But I gave up as soon as I realized that the fat guy wasn't losing any weight while stuck on an island.

yes.

One of my team mates did just that. Started with the Pilot episode a few weeks ago. Spent the last three weeks watching Lost just so he could watch the final episode last night.

The one thing I notice about my buddy who watched episode after episode..........He has a different understanding of the show. Where I would watch an episode and then "ponder" for a whole week til the next episode, he has the luxury/detriment of watching the episodes back to back. Where I would have my imagination drawing conclusions and connecting the dots, my buddy wouldn't have to think.

It's a great show, Jen. I watch just a few shows, and it was my must see.

well jen, i was out sick for a week. my roommate got me started watching it and we watched season one in about a day. then he went out of town and since i was all alone, i watched seasons 1-5 in seven days. basically i ate, slept, and watched lost for seven days straight. all i can say is YES, it's worth it. you'll get hooked and realize it's 4am by the time you're tired enough to not hit Play again...

i haven't seen season 6 or 7 yet since i have a life again, but i know what happens in them and i watched the finale last night. i would say i'm satisfied with the ending, although it was not what i was expecting at all.

that and the fact that they didn't seem to have blisters from all those ridiculous day trips they would take. the only other thing that bothered me was the fact that after a couple epsiodes they were no longer "surviving" but doing a bunch of shit while living at a pretty normal campsite...

the little details bothered me, but not enough to stop watching. and it makes me really mad they didn't even try to get the actor who played Hugo to slim down a good bit, at least until they started with the whole "flash forward" part.

They tried... it didn't work. He kept sneaking food and just getting fatter.

...so they explained it away, and I though they did a decent job of it.

Liked the end of it. I think they answered just enough questions.

If you compare it to the way other series have come to an end, I thought they did pretty well. I think they could have tied up a few loose ends, but it is always good to leave some mysteries.

I've been a fan, I think I've watched all of it from the beginning.

I got you beat there, Jason, I had 'Shepherd' and 'Locke' figured out from about the time that it was apparent both of those guys would be around for a while. ;)

I figured those out early, but it wasn't until "Christian Shepherd" at the church. So much for my "detective skills."

Oh, you mean Jack's dad specifically, not just the last name. I didn't ever remember hearing his first name, but the 'Shepherd' name was obvious.

I thought it was interesting that natural law was one of the early believers (first episodes, even) that natural law then died during as part of the kick off for the final tribulation, but that natural law was resurrected as evil, people followed it, then resurrected in 'heaven' along with all the others.

Locke was my favorite character. Next up: Benjamin Linus. It's a toss up, in some ways. I can relate to both of them.

Cheers,
