I don't reckon because you will have hole in the side of the engine where the rod came out.

It depends on where the rod decides to let go.....
For the most part, you'll hear the knocking get exponentially worse untill your engine decides to explode like a grenade. And, just like a grenade....you only have a few seconds to run for cover, er, turn the engine off.
If it sounds like a jeweler's hammer tapping on the engine, it's just a warning
If it sounds like a 16 ounce ball peen, start to worry
If it sounds like a 5 pound mallet, TURN THE ENGINE OFF NOW!!!!!!

Or....you can always start turning tricks when you get here.
We can always sell your services as a raffle. Or maybe you can be another door prize.

Now, that was so funny shit. :D

It would cost her the same amount to fly as it would in gas to get here so she is going to fly and I think her pimp is going to pick her up from the airport.

Any definate diagnosis?

Hey Roverchic...any definitive diagnosis yet? Just curious since I am having a similar noise and I'm not 100% wanting to accept it's my lifters.

Thanks and stuff,

So.....You never answered my question. Is it a jeweler's hammer, a ball peen hammer, or a sledge hammer?

BTW...you can always go Greyhound and leave the driving to them.
