Low gas = low temp??

I have noticed the last few time that the tank has got low with low fuel light on for a while, that my temp gauge read noticeably lower. I fill up and when I drive off, "normal" temp again. WTF? Maybe I am driving easier and the extra cold temps play a role? I never noticed this before.

Sounds like a ground problem in the binnacle. Fill up the truck just enough to shut the light off and see if the temp gets back to normal.
