We are building out our 2011 F350 Brush Truck, and need some auxiliary lighting.

We are a small rural department on a tight budget, and are not interested in bling.

We want low profile (square?) lights for the Headache rack behind the cab.... and we want them bright as f**k since we'll probably only have room for two after the LED Emergency light bar goes in the center.

I'm thinking HIDs to keep the power consumption down, and the brightness up. Any recommendations for square HIDs which are super bright and durable enough for a fire truck?

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Somehow try and get funding for 18" LED bar.

Recently saw on of those in action. HOLY SMOKES that is it. Done. Everything else sucks at least 30 different cocks compared to the LED lights. Seriously, if you need legit lighting on a truck there is no reason to look at anything else.

It'll be low profile and not draw 6,000 amps. Unlike most of the other options out there. The one I saw, I think the guy said he had a 5 amp fuse. Literally, minimal power requirements, friggen amazing performance. Like, I want it.

I don't need it, but I want it :D
