Where do I start....
First off everytime I have gone to the dealer within the last 6-8 months I have had nothing but problems. First off I went in for a valve cover/ intake leak, picked it brought it home and making whining sound, took it back days later and fixed it, brought it home checked under hood to find they broke my intake "plastic hose from air box to intake" and sealed it with black caulk. 3 Times to the dealer for 1 service

Times to dealer w/in last yr to my recollection:
Transfer case leak X2; 1 for leak, 2 Still dripping
Intake leak X3; 1 for fix, 2 for re-fix, 3 for replace part they broke
Valve Cover leak X2: 1 for leak, 2 for same leak months later
Oil change X2: 1 for oil change, 2 for oil leakage after oil change
(residue)

9 trips for 4 services... see a problem?

So I got some information from some very reliable, credible sources that there is a certain mechanic there that is fudging the repairs, and has been caught "red handed"on numerous occasions. He says hes fixed something when he just cleaned it, and then when it comes back to be fixed "again" he gets paid again to fix it right stating "faulty part". Service and Gen manager is well aware of this situation and has not fired him. If you or someone you know has had a problem with situations like this at Land Rover Hunt Valley please post and let me know.

How bout paying $98 an hour for something that wasnt done. Other mechanics in the shop have seen it and others have quit because of whats going on.
(i.e. doing a 60K service in 1 hour that has a flat rate of 6.5 hrs)

Unless you have something somewhat intelligent to say, please dont bother. Thanks!

Is this the way you should fix a customers intake if you break it and then not even tell them about Mr. WAHHH?

I have and its an on going process with the dealer. Im just trying to figure out if anyone else if having any other problems with that dealer. A few mechanics are saying this type of stuff is going on and nothings being done about it. Im trying to protect people like you and I that work hard and are getting screwed by the dealer. If want to charge $98 fine, but do true honest work. I dont like being lied to!

P.s. sorry about 2 thread wasnt sure where it would get read the most.

So you post in 2 forums because you have something you thnk is important to say and then tell me not to respond. Maybe I thought it was important to point out your little bitch thread on LRO so people here could see what a twerp you are.
If you don't think this is somewhat intellegent I'll type slower so maybe you'll get it.

dirty oil filter after having changed it is a whine......however

I've seen better repairs than that in Venezuela with chewing gum...

and if your paying $98 an hour.....I'd expect them to have at least polished the filter after installing...........

wow 8 posts and already making friends.

the filter was new...just dripping

and there is old goo under that new goo so I have to think that they were just trying to make sure a lame ass fix from before didnt bite you in the ass.

all in all...go to a dealer and you get what you get.

Rover Canus-
Go to the dealer 9 times for 4 service issues and tell me you wouldnt bitch? No I dont change my own oil, I dont do my own maintenance. Why? I just dont want to. So I work hard and pay for someone else to do it. If I pay someone else I should not have to come home from the dealer and look for broken parts or have oil leaks. Do you agree?

Wow, you have so much time on your hands that you worry about what other people posts? Its people like you that stops people from coming on here and asking legitimate questions. Im sorry Im not a grease monkey, I dont like working on my truck, I dont read LR magazine everyday, and I dont live, sleep and die Land Rover. So if my questions/ bitches about not knowing something about Land Rovers offends you then please keep it to yourself. Im here to get answers like everyone else. Thanks for wasting peoples time on your "I dont have answers I just bitch about other peoples post" response.

Its all new caulk, its the flash that makes its deceiving. When I took it in (x2) for the high pitch whine ther service manager and i looked it over and there was no sealant of any kind. Came out with no whine looking like that.

Thanks on the filter... I wasnt sure, that why I asked.

So if you only use your truck to go fom point a to point b why did you join an enthusiast web site?
If you dealer screws you once or twice shame on them, if you continue to go there you get what you deserve.
Now you get on here to whine and then tell me to "keep it to myself". You're a funny little guy.
What you have to say is so fucking important that it has to go in 2 forums and yet you want everybody to say nice things and agree with you.
Tell ya what, keep going to that dealer, we all need a good laugh.

Simple-do not go anywhere for anything where you were not happy the first time...EVER! And do not be such a glutton for repeat punishment.
Guys here can refer you to someone honest and knowing in your area i am sure and will gladly if you ask nicely. One who will admit a mistake and keeps their customers happy. Land Rover dealers basically ALL notorious rip-offs-you will get ABSOLUTELY no sympathy here about that.
Also do not hold it against anybody if it leaks some fluids-if your rover does not-you are rare amongst us-but be sure this wont last long-its ok....they all leak.
I would be real happy myself to service your truck for a 100 bucks an hr if you lived close to me and didnt care to yourself...once again, see if there is a local rover club [internet search] or ask around here as there is bound to be someone on here close to you who could need and would appreciate the xtra bucks. I have learned sooooo much about my rover from the good people here and even the bad too...so chill, read, and learn, cause if you do, your savings in time, money, and hassles will be WELL worth it.

Exactly my point!!!!

3 posts and not one response to the 'post"

Can you read? What does not being a mechanic, not liking to work on my truck having to do with going from point a to point b? Enthusiast web site, does that translate to Land Rover mechanics? I thought it was people who like their LR and like to off road in it, who pull there boat with it, who carry groceries in it, ? Ohhhh..... so you have to work on them, drive them to the Mesa Delta, camp out all night in your Hannibal tent, do a field transmission swap to qualify for this board?? I dont come here to get a boner on how well your axles articuates or to see your new Blistein shock set-up... I come here for knowledge, questions and answers on MY STOCK DISCO... how many of your 3660 posts are bitches? Well I know of at least 3.
Pretty funny you whine about me bitching and all you have done is bitch and try to point out how your the Grand Teton of this forum and how "you the man" by slamming people that dont have all the answers.

Enjoy your posting my friend.

I'm not going, Dealer ripped me off! Fraud! Fruad!. Oh my! The worlds so unfair!
Im not a grease monkey, I dont like working on my truck, I dont read LR magazine everyday, and I dont live, sleep and die Land Rover.
So you sign up for a web site, tell people you don't care about your Rover like the people here do and the only reason you're here is to bitch about a dealer.
I'm impressed.
I was just pointing out to the good folks here your little whine on LRO. Here's another, http://www.landroversonly.com/forums/f2/lr-hunt-valley-service-probelms-possible-fraud-21425/
If you just kept this in General where it belongs things may be different, but no, you had to put in the tech section too.
I dont come here to get a boner on how well your axles articuates or to see your new Blistein shock set-up...
That's called giving tech in the tech section.
I come here for knowledge,
What knowledge did this thread impart?
how many of your 3660 posts are bitches? Well I know of at least 3.
Look 'em up, get back to me when you get a count.
Unless you have something somewhat intelligent to say, please dont bother. Thanks!
I'm still waiting for something intelligent then you.
Im here to get answers like everyone else. Thanks for wasting peoples time on your "I dont have answers I just bitch about other peoples post" response.
You didn't come here for an answer to this, you came here for sympathy. Here you go, awwww!
And I keep people from posting? You give me a lot of credit! Thanks!
