is there really a part for part difference between the 05-07s? Or is it just TSB and software upgrades?

Wouldnt it make sense to buy an low mileage 05' for less than 20K and then just have the software upgrades/ TSB's taken care of? rather than spend $10-12K more for an low mileage 07... Need input...

I would highly recommend getting one with warrenty coverage if possible. I have had pretty good luck with the 06 year.

However 05 was the only year tha thad a rear locker.

no matter what year I would go for an HSE and not an SE

who fed you that misinformation?

all lr3 years have had the option of rear locker, as part of the "Heavy Duty Package" as stated above. it was mostly an order only option but many dealers simply had them on a few anyway depending on their market. either that or people often ordered the car and then didn't take delivery.

when I was looking it was interesting that the few with HD package were just SE models yet had all the options of an HSE which made the price slightly higher than going straight to HSE plus HD.

I may actually sell this lr3 if anyone is interested.

07's have lumbar adjustment in the driver seat, 05/06 did not.
07 gets one touch operation of the front passenger window too.

some previous "options" became standard.

one would expect build quality improved and that 05 is the worst year to take a chance on.

We have an 06 SE and I like it more and more everyday. *Knock on wood*

I wouldn't trade my Disco for the LR3 and a puppy though.
