What fluids are people running in their diffs (non-locking) and tcase on LR3s? Is the Castrol diff oil called out in the manual necessary? And how about the Land Rover branded tcase fluid?

Ive had Amsoil in the diffs for about 40k mi and RP synchromax in the transfercase for about 15k.

I’m running valvoline synthetic in the front, Ravenol for the rear locking diff, and Rein in the transfer case.

Apparently even the new GM spec stuff is good for the carbon or whatever clutches now, but the “Rover-Spec” juice wasnt much more expensive.

I’m running Valvoline synthetic in diffs and Royal Purple synchromax in the t case. Whatever you do get something with the new ‘easy fill’ pouch like bottles. Makes the job quicker and far less messy

I usually just get LRN7591 from the dealer which is just 75w90 gear lube.
