Drove the LR3!
Picked up my Disco after servicing at my local dealer yesterday and lo and behold, there was a LR3 SE, Java Black, with rear seats and A/C, lighting package, and convenience package just waiting for me to test drive.
I wasted no time in hooking up with my sales guide and heading out. First out of the gates I had to drive it off the sidewalk it was sitting on in front of the dealership (yea, off road already). Impressions: very quiet, very smooth, good power to move that heavy vehicle, with excellent steering. Seats were very comfortable, good visibility, excellent A/C. Fit and finish could use some wood but the plastic did not look too bad with its very durable feel.
The dealer had taken two deposits that day and anticipation was for brisk sales. I loved it.
