If your looking for an off road tire for your LR3 I ordered a set of 6 Dunlop Mud Rovers in a 17 inch configuration. YES, thats correct 17 inch. I will take pictures tomorrow and have them posted for all of you. They are a little large but probably the only LR3 in the US that has this large of a tire on it. Snorkel and ARB front bumper are alread equipped. Did some crazy off roading last weekend. Like I said I'll post some pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested. Since I sell Land Rovers here in Minnesota I made it my duty to start building an unstopable LR3 that I can still drive everyday.

I curently have 275/65/r18 cooper stt's. These are 32 inch mud tires and rub a little bit on full flex in the back. so their are LR3's running big tires but i don't know about 17 rims here.

I think the Nittos are 32.6", on 18" rims (285/60/18), but I may be mistaken. I rub ever so slightly on the forward portion of the rear wheel wells (say at 9:00 o'clock on a clock dial).

Would love to see your Dunlops and off roading photos. Welcome to the LR3 club :)

Cheers,

It may not be that unstopable after all....

Vehicles are built by human beings. Those are minor issues. I work for Land Rover and have not heard of anything as major as a tranny. Maybe a software update of an air compressor update kit. Dont criticize:bs:

So where are the pics???? Give 'em up.
if you have a look at http://s64.photobucket.com/albums/h165/gordonwh/operation%20blackout/ there are a couple there. This was round 1 of the W.A. 4WD championship (newly organised this year), but as the competition itself was at night (with no headlights!), I don't have any pics of the actual comp, just the presentations.

For the record, we won Class A (unmodified, 33" tyre max), but also beat most of classes B (lockers, 33" max) and C (lockers, 33"+). Most were Jeeps, Defender/Countys or Suzukis. Silenced a few critics over here :)

Hopefully I'll get better pics at Round 2 at the end of this month.

Cheers,

Gordon

among the few vehicels we've had for the family.. honda accord, 95 disco, honda prelude, BMW 528i, 97 disco, ML320, P38, the LR3....

the LR3 is the MOST reliable trouble free of them all. no issues. no rattles. no squeeks, no leaks, no nothing. it's the best minivan i've ever driven.

No leaks? Are sure it's a Land Rover?

Minivan? You need to drive a Durango for a few days (like I did while mine was in the shop), then you'll be whistling a new tune! It feels and drives exactly like a minivan. :ack:

There isnt a clear roof on that LR3?
In the US market, they all come with the glass roof, but it's an option for the rest of the world. Sorta similar to the RRS. In the US, you can only get one with a sunroof, but in the rest of the world, the sunroof is an option. Initially I really wanted a RRS, but with a sunroof, I don't have enough head room clearance to fit inside decently. Damm frustrating.
