LR3 trailer hitch

I just bought a new LR3 and I need to tow a Kendon motorcycle trailer. I purchased that $300 funky tow bar, but it sits too low (i.e. my Ford Explorer hitch height was apx. 36? from the ground ? the LR3 is apx 13? from the ground). I understand why it is like that, but what if any options do I have besides buying a new drawbar that would raise the towing height almost 20?, has anyone rigged or found a good alternative?

I ended up getting a 6 1/2 inch drop ball mount and inverting it. It not the best looking solution, but it works!
