The V6 Diesel was a jag modified motor, but the 4.0 V6 petrol is a ford exploder motor.

Cheers

PS. In Australia VERY FEW are 4.0 V6 petrol motors - the majority are the V6 Diesels.

The LR3/D3 V6 petrol is _not_ quite the same motor as the Explorer - but the block is cast iron. And for reference, quite a few Aussie Discos (in my state, 40%) sold are V6 petrol, owing to the subsidised price over the diesel. They've only just started to discount the TDV6, owing to the huge jump in the price of diesel, which may now slow down the sales of the V6 petrol ($2000 AU difference now, as opposed to $10 000 AU before).

Cheers,
