Hi,
This is really turned me off. I was looking to buy an LR3 when I noticed
the exhaust pipes located below the rear axle. How in the world can you
take that off-roading without damaging them. Is LR3 only for paved road ?

any input on this ?

Screw the skid plate. I cut the exhaust off after the 2nd or maybe third muffler? (has so many damn mufflers/cats/resonators anyway) 45 degree angle, toss the crappy cannister resonators that are near the rear bumper (they do say land rover on them so some of you nuts may want to keep these for souveniers, as I am sure they are expensive). I pinched my exhaust twice and after the second time trying to moddify it I just got out the sawzall. Save yourself the money and headache, cut it and it will never happen again.

Happy Trails!

Good luck.

On the other hand I can see if you have a SUPER heavy duty plate to protect the diffy on the rear. That would be beneficial in another way...

Do you have any pics of this? Is it much louder now?

No not really any louder. I can take pictures later early next week. My shop will be installing some new rims so I'll run up there and snap a few.
