Magnaflow Cat-Back fit issues

So I needed a new exhaust for my Land Rover DII and bought a magnaflow cat back system. I probably could of fixed my old one but thought I would "upgrade". Let the flames begin!
I have had magnaflow exhausts in the past and been very happy. So I fit this exhaust all up, slip joints, so there is clearance around everything. The exhaust hangers/donuts are hanging straight down. One thing that I noticed is that there is about 1/2" or so from the cat Y-pipe flange to the mating flange on the cat-back system. When I bolt the system to the Y-pipe it pulls the whole exhaust back the 1/2" and now I don't have clearance at the back. I am about a 1/16" if I am lucky away from the frame rail and other components. And of course the way the unit is designed there are no slip joints that will allow me move the rest of the to give better clearance.

Is there anything such as a flange spacer to space the exhaust back by the 1/2" or so that I need?

Anyone else fit this system onto their DII?

Gonna contact Magnaflow as well to see what they have to say.

Thanks
Todd

never had a fit issue, only a very annoying drone on the highway about 60-65mph. I bought a D1 magnaflow, couldn't stand the noise, transferred it to a RRC. The sound is slightly more bearable but still annoying.

You might not be seated all the way in the fittings. I never in stalled a kit on a Rover; only BMW's and they all fit OK but needed some fettling.

I found a local custom exhaust shop and got an entire cat-back system custom bend and welded for $220.

What do you mean by seated all the way? The second pipe after the muffler is the one that is giving me the trouble. The problem is that when I seat the cat back to the cat it pulls the exhaust towards the front of the vehicle, contacting back near the gas tank.
