Ok Ive got a question for you guys. I just bought a 94 Disco 1 and it has a major issue with fuel in the engine. To start it off, its a 3.9 V8 and when I bought the vehicle it was mis-firing and REAKED of gasoline. I figured it was a leaky a fuel line and the engine was not running on all cylinders because it wasnt getting enough gas. Today I took it to my mechanic to have the fuel-line fixed cause I didnt want to crawl under it in the freezing cold and fix it myself, but after a little more looking into the problem, we discovered the engine had about 8L of raw gas in it. So much gas that it was pouring out the cat, the muffler, the exhaust etc. when running and the oil was completely diluted with it. We drained the gas/oil mixture out, put new oil in it and started it to make sure the engine wasnt destroyed and luckily it didnt show any signs of knocking or major problems. So here is my question, what the hell is making the injectors put so much gas into the engine? I have no idea what could be doing this, I have never seen anything so messed up before haha. Is there an ECU that controls the injectors or something that could be throwing an error and making them pour gas into my engine? Here's another messed up thing, there is no CEL either. Please help!

Had this happen in a brand new chevy 350 in less than 1000 miles. Rings did not seat. As Chris said check injectors and then try a compression test. May have set a while before being bought.
