I just had the y-pipe replaced a couple of weeks ago and it was discovered that I have lots of oil leaking in front of my engine, as well as the exhaust manifold is leaking since there are broken studs as well. Its tripping a CEL, not surprised at all. However, I was advised that it will cost a significant amount of bucks to get it fixed. This was quoted by an independent garage, not the stealer. The truck has close to 136K on the clock, is it worth fixing, or do I get rid of it? Oh, and its a Series I.

It's cheaper if you rip into yourself, your exhuast manifold has bolts not studs, are they missing or did they shear off inside? they come loose occasionally and maybe they rotated out. As for your oil leak could be your front engine cover with your oil pump?? Do you have oil pressure? Is your filter tight? Is it leaking from your oil pan? and so on.....

I'm sure someone here knows whats up with your rover.
