Can anyone recommend a good LED for the map light in the Classic?
Brighter and whiter is the goal.

Bulb says "T192" on it; I guess it's original.

the listing for the middle row D1 light is wrong at most parts suppliers including the superbright led store. Don't know about RRC but I'd double check

Yeah, what comes up on the Superbright site is a close fit in RRC Dome lights. I got the 3-LED versions, and the circuit board is slightly longer than the glass on the type bulb, resulting in very tight fit to the bulb holder tabs. In front I angled the bulb aim slightly rearward to clear the tabs. But for the rear dome, the board interference was too much when aiming straight down, so I had to decide on Right- or Left-biased. With a 120-degree spread it still covers the whole rear seat.

They are not my preferred color temp, but they sure do light up the interior, and they minimize battery drain if the dash button is left on (my main reason for purchasing them)! In the same vein, since all Classics spend some time with the hood up, I also replaced the under-hood trouble light with an LED!

Not worth it unless you're blind or like the lighting feel of Walmart. Autozone/etc carry led bulbs now if you're dead set. Don't buy long-life bulbs if you go incandescent.

OK, I got a couple of those LEDs to try in the RRC map light.
It requires modification--to say the least.
The led bulbs are too large to fit through the opening so I had to Dremel the opening larger and trim down the bulb at its widest point(plastic) but they fit and jeez are they bright.
