MAR 04 is getting closer and we are looking for some volunteers for a few different parts of the event.
Games and events- course workers, judges etc for various games. Suggestions for competitions and games are certainly welcome.
Parking control- This year we're trying to keep the 'main drag' from getting too cluttered with parked Rovers. Having some volunteers directing drivers during peak times (like the mass arrival at the beginning) would be great. If a trail has to be closed off to get a disabled vehicle removed, we need people willing to help redirect and keep everyone moving.
Children's events- We would like some folks to volunteer time to help the kids with painting t-shirts and other arts/crafts and games. We'd also like to take all the kids on a trail ride together as well and need drivers with extra seat space.
Medical Assistance- We'd like to know if you or someone in your group has any professional medical training, just in case.
Anyone with advanced knowledge of recovery procedures, emergency medical assistance/trauma care etc should contact me as well- and a vet... we need a vet too.
What's in it for you? People who volunteer for specific events will be compensated in various ways (still getting details) but stuff like t-shirts etc are likely. Those who are willing to go the "extra mile" and participate full time for recoveries, emergencies and other duties as assigned can receive all their MAR registration fees back at the end of the event.
