I saw them, but they weren't in Rovers. They were in white vehicles that had Sheriff graphics in great big letters.
With only a handful of staff this year it was tough to keep up with everything. We can't really approach everyone with a dented up truck - that would be, like, almost everyone posting here I think ;)

The Rangie crew were certainly worrying, but I for one could never keep up with them as they only passed by Rally Control a few times.

We do rely heavily on other participants to help with the monitoring and common sense reinforcement. Also, to my knowledge no one ever came to RC and said they were concerned with such and such behavior, which would have meant a visit from a few staff.

Overall it seems a great success - thanks to everyone who made the event fun and memorable! :applause:

So, what's planned for the 60th Anniversary? Will it be at the same location? Any special guests?

Dude, that was just outright dangerous. If you don't care about your rig or yourself you need to not wheel around a crowd like that.

Our current plans are for a different location for the 60th - one better suited for the size of the crowd we hope to see! Special guests - well, with any luck!;)

I've seen the video. I've seen the pics. I've heard from the people there. I think that is enough.

During an event like the MAR I don't believe that 'coming in hot' should be in anyone's vocabulary. There are too many people, too many kids and dogs, plus you are tearing up someone's private land.

'Why does it matter"? For me it matters because I'm one of the ones responsible for making sure you can play at Pearl's Pond and for making sure that ROAV can continue to host the event. Aside from my personal investment, it matters from a pure safety and 'tread lightly' perspective.
