This my SES light came on in my 99D2. I had 7 codes all dealing with misfires. I changed the plugs and wires last year. I had the codes reset and have been about 10 miles without the light reappearing. With all cyliders having a misfire code should I be looking towards the coil pack? How difficult is it to replace the coil pack? If it is as difficult as the wires I probably will not attemp on my own.

something that abrupt (if indeed these all came up abruptly) may have something to do with gas. drive it and see if they come back. if not...chalk it up to gas and keep a bottle of maalox at hand.

if they come back (and they are cyl. misfires) replace plugs and wires and/or try some seafoam)

Umm...I tried the sea foam thing and f'd mine up pretty good. Ran like shit for a couple miles just after a fill up. Check engine light is now on and temp gauge stopped working. Turned around and went home. Fired it up the next day and the frickin thing idles a little weird but is totally drivable. Check engine light still on and temp gauge still out. WTF?

sounds like you didnt run the seafoam through correctly. did you hold the idle up @ about 2k until it burned off?
