I recieved my cigars today from Yo! Adrian.

CAO Gold, Tenth Anniversary. Couldn't wait to try this one, so I did just that.:D Very nice smoke, with a solid ash, smooth draw, and a clean burn. Subtle, yet potent flavors throughout, with more than a hint of nutmeg, building to a mild spice, and closing with just a hint of leather on the finish. You know, as they say, there was a faint echo of vanilla in there as well, it came in across the palate. That reads just like the advert for the darned things, but it's true. I enjoyed the whole experience a lot. Very complex and still easy going. I'll be buying some more of these.

Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva. I've always liked Fuentes, this should be a good bit of relaxation. It's been a while since I have had one, honestly, and I look forward to this one quite a bit.

Puros Indios. I've never had one of these, but from the look, feel, and smell of things, I am set to enjoy it.

Rocky Patel, The Edge. I've heard good things about these, this is another that I haven't yet tried, and equally look forward to lighting up.

I tell you, this is a great variety you have sent. Thank you very much, I'm sure I'll enjoy all of them.

Cheers,

Kennith

Does anyone have any recommendations for a mild Ecuadorian or Dominican cigar, price really doesn't matter but I'm open to all to experience them.
Thanks,
Brian.
Some popular Dominican brands that pop to the top of my head would be:
Arturo Funete
Ashton
AVO
Davidoff
H.Upmann
Montecristo
Oliveros (Classics)
Private Stock (They also have some with a binder from Ecuador and filler from D.R.)
Romeo y Julieta

Puros Indios have a binder from Ecuador. As well as, some Bolivars wrappers and or binders come from Ecuador.

Ha, ha...that's awesome Kennith. Just like reading my Cigar Aficionado mag! Glad you like that one. I took that from my own personal stash. The Indio I think you'll like. The others are my favorites hands down.

I finished the Indio tonight. Definately a strong, yet subtle smoke. Not easy to diagnose at all.

There were firm olive and cinnimon notes on the draw, dry and spicy with good bitterness. The flavor lingers well, and finishes in a dry cocoa. The flavor matures smoothly through the smoke, and at the finish, produces a unifying hint of leather that winds down well. The burn was more agressive, but clean, and the ash was well solid and formed. Am I mad, or did I detect hints of gin throughout?

I liked it alot, really. This one is a very difficult smoke to rate, the flavors were powerful, but cleverly masking each other for a very good overall tone. It was a sneaky little bugger.:D I found myself asking just what was that flavor? What was it paired with that made it so unique? Overall, I think the most notable feature was the dryness of the flavors, married in the end with a softness that finished it comfortably. But still I wonder if I've got that one right at all. I'll have to go out and get some more and find out.

Enjoyed the hell out of it, really.:applause:

Cheers,

Kennith
