looking into getting an e320 wagon with v6, probably 98-01, taken a look at some MB forums, but has anyone with the Rover mindset had experience?

considering a bmw 5-series wagon, but they are harder to find/more expensive.

should I just pick up a trusty volvo?

thanks

I can't speak for the E series but my wifes C230 was a POS, thankfully the stepdaughter had too many martinis one night and totaled it (no she didn't get hurt other than cuffed and thrown in the tank). No more MBZs for me.

My aunt has a new 2007 E320. What do you want to know?

PS - we also looked at the 5 series; if it wasn't for the bad placement of the cup holders (the new body style) she would have bought that in a heart beat.

I just bought a 99 E320 sedan. Go to benzworld.com and search for buying advice in the W210 section. They will tell you not to buy any MB product between 01 and 05. I did notice that the older 300E/E320 (box shape w/out rounded headlights) are priced higher than the 97-00 E class vehicles with similar miles. Thus far I love my E class. I had a 95 C280 previously and regretted selling it (along with my Acura 3.2 TL, RR 4.6HSE, 96 Disco, etc. etc. :banghead: ).

We bought our `04 new, we have had NAV problems but that was it. It has just about everything you can put in it. We also looked at the BMW, but was unhappy with the power or options.

my mother had 2002 E320 it was a good car and like all mercedes benz's it has a very solid feel to it. It came with a warranty so that took care of any problems. Black with tan leather looks so good on that car.

I owned a '98 E320 Sedan for years until I traded up to an '04 E500 Wagon last year ... my biggest suggestion, as for both my benz and rover, never goto a dealer unless it's your only hope. Find a good local TRUST-WORTHY mechanic that can work on both! Have not experienced any major mechanicals ... knock on wood!

Definitively stay in the V-6 E320 range, as the E500 is killing me in gas, granted the V-8 is fun when you need to go... but you pay dearly for it @ th pump! If I had to do it over again, I would have looked @ the CDI, that said, the extra space and storage room of the hatchback is nice, especially for road trips... or as my friends call it, 'one mean grocery getter'!

Good luck~
