That is the one I have for sell.

and it is the only non dealer gasket or seal we use at the shop. but let the original poster use the amazon felpro gasket. that way in about 2-3 weeks we can read his thread 'i used the amazon gasket but now i have a leak????? what should i do?'

i only fix these turds for a living, what do i know?

Never had a problem with Fel Pro, but what's the part number on the Victor Reinz?

Never heard of problems with the coated valley gaskets on the D2, we certainly haven't seen anything on our own engine.

The issue with plain steel is that you get dissimilar metal corrosion between the ali and the steel parts, something you'll see on the heads between the steel fire ring and the head/block faces.

I'd always used the coated gasket.

either one works fine

the coating is probably for additional corrosion prevention. I've removed a plain metal one that was almost through. That was from a 96 that had spent some time on the east coast.
