I think most of the AMC folks are staying put. I have a friend who works in Admin--but she took off to Canaan with her husband for the weekend!

Jeff--winch fest on your driveway?! PS Did you buy the last of the zucchini and squash the other day? They were sold out when I got there.

Werd up, praise be to the Scotch Gods for delivering such a heavenly beverage.... went "offroading" to the end of the driveway. Its more like raining now, the back road by the house is already plowed. I guess we ll see if it all freezes in da morning.

The main disadvantage of all of this hype is that all of the crews are trying to stay ahead of the storm. I've already had four plows through my street. In the storm of December, we didn't see a plow until 12 hours after it stopped.

At least the roads will stay plowed. Its funny how i saw plenty of snowplows on 64 during the december storm and then traffic came to a halt and was stopped for 12 hours. Where did all those trucks go?

might not have had enough plow drivers to cycle through? DOT drivers can only be on the road for so many hours.

22"+ at my house and still falling. I drove from CT to VA last night and arrived at 5am this morning. Same trip during last snow storm. Lovely.

Just south of Harrisburg, PA (route 81) the roads were single lane and very few people on them. Good number of plow trucks, but decent shape. 35mph max speed. Once I hit the WV line it went to shit quick. The roads were really crappy. No plows on them and very rough. Topped out at 30mph. Almost lost it on 81 here.

Once I hit 50 east in VA is was pretty good. Lots of plows on 50. Saw one vehicle from Winchester to Middleburg (25 miles). Then again it was 3:30am.

My gravel road of course had not been touched and I ended up winching myself up off the road into my driveway.

Lots of big trees down as well and power was going off and on.

EDIT: Here are a few I just took.

I will post up some pics this evening. My camera is in my truck and it's a whole 50 yards from the house.
I know the feeling, letting the dogs out is a chore!
