Question for anyone- Trying to decide which muffler I want to use to replace the center resonator on a 2003 Disco 2. I already removed the rear muffler and extended the pipe ending with a nice aggressive oval/slanted/rolled/resonated tip from ebay. The stock sound is a little louder but not the end note that I desire. Next mod is to replace the center muffler. I don't want to go with the Borla due to cost. I would rather stick with the stock piping and modifiy it before the flange in case I ever wanted to go back to stock.
- Option #1: Flowmaster 40- cabin droning
Flowmaster 50- supposedly not as loud
- Option $2 Magnaflow- don't know which muffler to use
- Option #3 Hooker Aero- a new muffler on the market that has a nice note and does not create loud cabin droning.
Next question- The stock pipe measures ~2 3/4"? most mufflers have 2.5" and 3" inlets/outlets. Will the 2.5" restrict flow to hamper performance?
