mileage (mpg) ?

I met a guy at the store in a 98 D1.
His: 98 D1, all stock, 160k miles getting 21 MPG on the highway.
Mine: 96 D1, 113k, when stock the best I ever got was 17 and avg is 15-16 on the highway.

Any one else get this kind of mileage?

I kind of pay attention just to see if something changes radically. It seems to be in the 13-15mpg range on pavement.

I watch every tank. I consistantly get 10-12 with 33's and 4in of lift.

'99 D1 SD 4.0L Stock 84,000 mi.
HAD to know what my mileage was. So on a Sunday morning I filled the tank at my local gas station, 91 octane. Acurracy was precedent. I topped off to where I could physically see the fuel level above the filler flap. Zeroed out the trip odometer. Drove south to San Diego averaging approx. 72 mph, made one stop, flipped a bitch then headed back to the same gas station. Refilled gas tank to the EXACT same level, just above the filler flap. Printed receipt.

11.105 gallons. 212.5 miles.
