Mini 'lift gate' on the tow hitch?

Greetings all,

Does anyone know of a quick and simple portable device that can lift heavier items up into the back of the disco - something like a mini lift gate that sticks in the towing hitch? I thought about hanging the winch rope over the roof rack and down the back, but that's hardly a good convenient solution.

Its to pick up the bigger wood rounds that people leave on the side of the road, and which I could use for firewood.

If it doesn't exist, invent it, patent it, and make loads of money. But it would probably be a heavy piece of equipment itself. Not fond of the winch over the vehicle. Especially if the rope is wire, not synthetic.

Check into hadi capped scooter lifts. I've seen a few that were a drive on ramp with a lift and were hitch mounted.

Wouldn't the ramp end up being too long to fit inside the truck? A few days ago I rolled a 200 lb generator on wheels down an 8' wooden 'ramp' and it seemed way too steep.
