Modifying a D1 SD rack to fit a D90?

Terry, the truck and rack are in a garage near Olive/170, so possibly closer or farther from you. I’m debating if I want to sell the entire D1 outright with the rack, but if I decide to sell it separately I’ll reach out to you.
Thanks, if you do sell the rack, I’d be a buyer for sure. Olive/170 is just a little closer.

I was always told not to argue with idiots because they’ll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience, but you’re a bawfaced numpty if there ever was one.
I'm not sure what you just called me but I'm sure it's a horrible thing to say. This reminds me of a time we had a guy named Elmer Fud come in and educate us in British insults. That whole thing went downhill fast.

Och, my grandpa used to call everyone he knew a "bawfaced numpty" and we thought it was a term of endearment. I remember getting in trouble in 1st grade for calling a teacher a bawfaced numpty; she didn't know what it meant either, but the Scottish principal did. I don't think I could sit down for a week after that.

If there's one thing to be said about the LR community, we know how to take it and dish it out equally and goodnaturedly!

“If there's one thing to be said about the LR community, we know how to take it and dish it out equally and goodnaturedly!“

On my first date with my then future wife, who was working as a claims adjuster for GMAC insurance, she reported to me that Land Rover and Porsche owners were all assholes. I then told her that I owned one of each.

It seems all the claims adjusters felt this way as apparently they didn’t get the “dish it out and take it humor“ as well.

I asked her to elaborate a little bit. She said they were mostly all rude, would buy the cheapest insurance possible, but when they had to live with aftermarket parts they all kind of lost it.

The more tenured claims adjusters were allowed to cherry pick the claims they handled. As such, guess who got the Land Rover and Porsche claims? Yep, the brand new folks.

I also had a boss, pre-Internet, everyone called the tiger behind the typewriter. He was an angry little man.

I think that there is so much to be altered, that unless you are a heck of a welder, it will end up looking a hot mess. Length, height, width, etc all have to be altered. I agree, sell it and spend the $$$.

Well yes. Most people on this board can take some serious flak. But some are a bit delicate. I am not at home right now and have the joy of being with a bunch of British cermugens. All of them very much the Land Rover community. I asked about your Numpty label and they thought it was a newer insult that young people threw around. Maybe it's because your family is Scottish, and you all had your own insults. But Bawfaced could go a couple ways. It could be that gramps was saying they had a big round head and face. OR it could refer to a Ball faced( like in scrotum kind of thing)So just to be clear.. are you saying I'm a scrotum faced useless person? Cause I can get past that. We could still work this out. But if your saying I have a big round head, we'll we have a problem. Chooch is a term of endearment for me. I call most of my best friends Chooch. But the guy I picked that up from was my grandfather. When my cousin and I would do some cool shit and got busted for it he would say"get over here, da boat o ya"

If you have the fabrication skills to make a D1 SD rack look even halfway decent on a D90, then you could build your own rack.

FYI, there is a guy that sells knock off SD Defender racks on eBay and they look pretty okay. Not perfect, but much better than the knock off Discovery SD racks.

i'm inclined to think that my grands were ahead of the curve when it came to insults...though now i'm wondering if they weren't calling me fat-faced, as well (I was a cheery, round thing when younger, so probably). I don't know if I can accept that, either. But I also always wondered if the nursery rhyme wasn't "Numpty Dumpty sat on the wall..." Seems more appropriate to the situation. Chooch is good- I think it means about the same. They were all prob on the same boat coming over...

The Ballchinians are a race of extraterrestrials who generally wear cloth masks to cover their face, as (at least in males of the species) they possess part of their genitalia below their neck and attached to their chin, which may indicate the origin of their name. Other features include a short face that made it appear squished together, puckered lips, semi-pointed ears, and hanging jowls.

Although some were known to openly protest the efforts of mankind and the MIB by siding with a Kylothian named Serleena, it is not known if this was typical of their species, or if these were radicals. A particularly low - albeit incredibly easy - way to incapacitate a Ballchinian opponent is to strike the testes which hang from its face.
