AN ACT EXEMPTING FROM FEDERAL REGULATION UNDER THE COMMERCE CLAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES A FIREARM, A FIREARM ACCESSORY, OR AMMUNITION MANUFACTURED AND RETAINED IN MONTANA; AND PROVIDING AN APPLICABILITY DATE.
Montana says any guns or ammo made in Montana that STAY in Montana are exempt from ANY AND ALL federal regulation.
They do specifically exclude any firearm that
discharges two or more projectiles with one activation of the trigger or other firing device
So people can't say "oh my god, they'll be making machine guns in Montana!"

Complete bill here:
Montana tells US gov't to respect 2nd amendment

shot guns discharge two or more projectiles with one activation of the trigger or firing device?

I think this is cool...states need to stand up and be seen for what they are.

Yeah for them. The Feds do abuse the interstate shit. Like the pot clubs in California getting busted by the Feds. I'd really like to know how they apply interstate transportation to pot that is grown in California and sold in California. I frankly could care less if they're in business or not, other than I feel it's an abuse, and that if they can apply it to them, then they can apply it to anything else they want to.

nevermind, I just realized they were talking about individual shot, not shells

it sounds like shotguns would be subject to federal law under that definition, and the only thing I see as a new possibility are barrel length changes, and since everything has to be stamped made in montana it doesn't let you get around 922r
