MOT Test Day

Not sure why we still call it the MOT (Ministry Of Transport) test, they haven't been called that for 20+ years, but anyway the Discovery went in this morning for its annual test and passed with no advisories.

We had an early slot at 8.00, dropped it in, had a chat with Mr Young the tester, went across the road to Asda (owned by Walmart) to do some shopping and when I got back it had passed with no advisories.

Happy bunny is I :D:D

We consistently rack up 12-14000 miles a year, the present set of tyres (Nexen Roadian A/T) has done 34k miles and still has 6mm of tread left. We have covered 68k miles since we put it on the road in July 2009. Current genuine mileage is 158001, we had 89735 on the clock when we bought it.

Emissions CO limit is 3.5% by volume, our test was 0.002%, a pretty clear pass! That is on LPG, not petrol. The car is tested on the fuel it is presented for the test on, so you can put it in for test on petrol or LPG in our case.
