Mounting Brake Controller and Accessories (2016 LR4)

I need to permanently install a brake controller.

Temporarily tried left knee location and that stinks.

Tried right knee location and that is the place. Below the tiny vent that is to the left of the start button.

I tried 3 different levels of double sided tape. They won't last in hot heat. They last one day max.

So it is either permanent double sided tape that could damage the surface or screw it in.

Any advice on screws to use in that part of the "dash"?

Any advice on tape? The strongest 3M could not last more than a day in MT, WY, CO heat while driving and then parked overnight.

PS: The next is a trailer camera system, but it seems that the monitor will work well, just dongle power to it to a windscreen suction cup while driving.

Use that stuff the state gives us with the toll transponders. Like I Pass here in Illinois. That stuff is great.

That 3M Dual Lock.

Does the tape fall off the controller or the dash? If its coming off the controller you might just need to sand it a little so it has something to stick to.
